The Christmas sing-out season has begun.
On Tuesday we started off at Brookdale and, after a little confusion as to where we were singing, it all came together. Of course it did. It’s Christmas.
After our first performance we went to The Beehive on Hawthorn. Then across the parking lot to the memory care. It is truly humbling to sing to these folks and give them a little piece of the Christmas spirit.
We had a few brand-new guys singing with us. Ian, Dave and John. Additionally, we had a few others that this was their first Christmas adventure with us.
In addition to the chorus performing and entertaining remarkably well we had a brand-new quartet, the Three Quarters. Yes, that’s their name. Or something like that. And Penny Arcade sang a bit as well.

- Our Christmas sing-outs continue this Saturday. The dates and locations are below. PLEASE SHOW UP 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THOSE TIMES.
- The Division 4 contest will be the end of April or beginning of May in Salem. We are still awaiting a confirmation date from Bob Cox of the Salem chapter. Jim will be Show Chairman. If you are interested in being on the show team let him know. Once the date is confirmed we will be moving quickly on the promotion.
- We’re still looking for a Valentines Chairman. It should be someone who is willing to help organize and can be available during the day of Friday, February 14th to take phone calls as they come in and dispatch to quartets. As it looks now, we have two quartets with another potential quartet being ready to go. We're hearing the Three Quarters may want to get in on the fun.
- We would like to utilize the large screen in our rehearsal area to be able to film us and playback. Does anyone have the technical skills to make this happen?
- All are encouraged to drop a coin or two into the coffee can to help offset the cost of coffee and cookies.
- Bring your bottle and cans. We have an account at the local recycling center. A great way for TVHM to make a few bucks.
- The TVHM Christmas party will be at the Methodist church on Tuesday December 17th at 7PM. This will be a potluck/white elephant gift exchange. Bring your wives. And family. Wives bring a wrapped ornament to exchange as well. We’ll get more info out soon.
- Our annual Installation/Awards dinner is now scheduled for Tuesday January 21th at the Spaghetti Factory in Hillsboro. 6:30 PM. We’ll have more info as it gets closer. All are encouraged to attend and bring your wives. Who will win the coveted Chuck Olson Barbershopper of the Year Award?
- Note that we will not meet for two weeks during the Christmas and New Years weeks. We’ll be back on Tuesday January 7.
